Our photographer, Matjaž Kacicnik, came from Cairo to take photos of our tomb, the TT 109. It was amazing to see the amount of equipment  he had brought with him. The tomb looked like a photo studio! We were very happy to have secured for us such a man, an expert in the art of photographing the tombs of the Theban Necropolis.

Since a great deal of work was planned over the next few days, we hired a fourth worker into our team today: Hassan Mohamed Abd El Qader Sheiba.

Elena, the restorer, went on with her careful analysis of every nook  and cranny of the tomb in order to provide a comprehensive report on the conditions of the monument. She eventually expressed her concerns on many points, which will be individually addressed during our season of work.

We bought an enormous wooden box to store all the tools we usually need. It is so huge that a person fits in perfectly! It actually looks like a sort of  sarcophagus; "we could considered it as our first discovery", we said humorously ;)
