Today the surveyor started his work in the courtyard of tomb TT109. Besides the plan of the tomb, in fact, we need a general map of the surrounding area in order to accurately locate Min's tomb within the context of all the nearby tombs.

We also received the visit of the Scientific Attaché of the Italian Embassy in Cairo, Prof. Franco Porcelli, and his wife, Raffaella Carrera, to whom we are very grateful for the institutional support thay gave to the Min Project. They inspected the tomb with us and talked to the team members about the work done during this season. Then we took them on a visit to two of the new monuments that the Ministry of Antiquities recently opened to the public: the tomb of the noble Amenemope (TT41) in Kurnah and the temple of Mut at Karnak. Both are monuments of great significance and prominence, finally accessible to visitors thanks to the excellent work carried out by our colleagues of the ARCE (American Research Center in Egypt) in cooperation with the Department of Antiquities. Two sites not to be missed when visiting Luxor!
